- A description of the textbook: John C. Russ, "The Image Processing Handbook" (5th ed.). Do not be confused by the fact that the page seems to refer to a sixth edition, the data are really for the fifth.
- ImageJ, the software that will be used.
- The excellent and freely downloadable book "Image Analysis for the Biological Sciences" by C.A. Glasbey and G.W. Horgan (1995). The link is to Chris Glasbeys home page where you will find links to the book chapters near the bottom. The book is not used in the course but is recommended as additional reading.
